We visited a couple of years ago! It was way above what we expected! We LOVED it! The Park is beautiful. We liked the fact that it was not crammed with visitors and we could drive through at a slow pace, stop when we wanted to for pictures or to just stand and stare! We also stopped a couple of times to view wildlife. We took the horseback ride through the Canyon floor--awesome. We stayed in one of the cabins and thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet of the Canyon. At dusk we watched deer feeding very near the cabin. We are a couple of senior citizens, so we didin't do a lot of hiking, but we enjoyed leisure strolls in various places. We highly recommend the Canyon as it is well worth the entrance fee and we found cabin rental reasonable, too.
